Root canal treatment in Płock –
endodontics under a microscope

Root canal treatment enables us to save a tooth that has become inflamed or whose pulp has died. Every endodontic treatment begins with a thorough consultation and examination to determine the cause of the problem and realistically assess the treatment options. At Panorama Uśmiechu, we perform these procedures with full magnification using a microscope and modern endodontic tools. This makes the treatment precise and predictable, and significantly increases the chances of preserving the tooth for years to come.

What is a root canal treatment?

Inside each tooth, there are blood vessels and nerves. If an infection occurs, usually as a result of decay or trauma, it is necessary to remove the infected tissue.

Root canal treatment involves:

  • thorough cleaning of the canals to remove diseased pulp,
  • disinfecting the inside of the tooth,
  • sealing with biocompatible material,
  • reconstruction of the tooth, most often with a filling or crown.

Thanks to magnification and precision tools, we can also treat difficult, curved or unusual canals.

When should you seek root canal treatment?

You may require root canal treatment if you experience any of the following:

  • discomfort when biting,
  • spontaneous, throbbing or night-time toothache,
  • hypersensitivity to cold or heat,
  • swelling or inflammation of the gums,
  • changes visible on an X-ray or CBCT image,
  • a cracked tooth or deep cavity.

Remember that pulp disease is often asymptomatic, so changes are often only detected during routine diagnostics.

Why is it important to have a root canal treatment as soon as possible?

Quick response to a dental problem:

  • increases the chance of saving the tooth,
  • shortens treatment time,
  • reduces the risk of complications such as cysts, abscesses and bone loss,
  • lowers the cost of treatment.

Delayed treatment may require additional procedures or even tooth extraction.

How is a root canal treatment carried out at Panorama Uśmiechu?

Consultation, examination and diagnosis

We begin dental treatment with a consultation and thorough examination of the patient in the chair. Only then do we take an X-ray or CBCT scan to assess the number of canals and their course, and to plan dental treatment with maximum precision.

Anaesthesia and complete comfort

The procedure is performed under local anaesthesia. If necessary, we also use computerised anaesthesia or methods dedicated to people with hypersensitivity.

Rubber dam isolation

We protect the treated tooth with a rubber dam, which is a flexible membrane that isolates the tooth from saliva and bacteria. This ensures that the endodontic treatment is sterile and safe.

Magnified work – endodontic microscope

All procedures are performed using a magnifying glass or microscope, providing up to several dozen times magnification. This enables us to locate additional canals, remove old materials, and clean hard-to-reach areas precisely.

Root canal preparation and disinfection

We use electronic endometers to measure the length of the canals, as well as modern machinery that reduces treatment time and increases predictability.

Tight filling of dental canals

We fill the canals with biocompatible, heat-treated gutta-percha to allow for tight filling, even in very complex canal systems.

Tooth restoration

Once the endodontic treatment is complete, we restore the tooth with a filling or, if necessary, a crown to ensure durability and protection.

Yes, provided the tooth is not severely inflamed and the anatomy of the canals is clear. The dentist will decide this after diagnosis.
